Bud (Jack Lemmon) has found the secret to success, by providing the perfect hideaway for his philandering bosses. This plan was working swell until he falls for Fran (Shirley MacLaine), his boss’ mistress. In true swinging 60s fashion this comedy has some great quips and fun shenanigans.  PN1997 .A63 2007

When two city kids are mistakenly accused of murder on a trip through Alabama, they recruit their cousin Vinny, a New York Lawyer who’s never gone to trial, to represent them before the formidable Judge Haller. Culture clash hilarity ensues.  PN1997 .M92 2000

Julia Roberts plays a feisty single mom working at an attorney’s office. What starts as a story about a single mother struggling to keep food on the table, turns into a tale about a woman fighting for an underprivileged community against a major company. This film is both fun and uplifting and I highly recommend if you are one of the few who hasn’t seen this. PN1995.9.J8 E7 2000

It’s 1978 and as the Iranian Revolution takes over the US Embassy in Tehran, six Americans escape but are still stuck in a hostile country. It’s up to CIA agent Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) to get them out under the guise of a Hollywood movie crew. It’s exciting, has a great cast; a perfect popcorn flick. PN1997 .A74 2013

The story follows a fast talking attorney and habitual liar who, forced by his son’s birthday wish, must tell the truth for the next 24 hours. It’s very tongue-in-cheek and hilarious. It’s Jim Carrey in his comedy peak. PN1997 .L537 1999
