Sohn Library on International Relations, in its new home in the renovated Dean Rusk International Law Center, will take place on Monday, October 26, from 4-6 p.m. in the Larry Walker Room on the fourth floor of Dean Rusk Hall. A reception and tours of the center will follow. For more about the event, see http://law.uga.edu/RuskIntl/rededication.
Professor Sohn was an international law scholar, teacher and advisor who participated in the drafting of the United Nations Charter in 1945. During his long career as a professor at Harvard Law School, the University of Georgia School of Law, and George Washington University School of Law, Professor Sohn built an extensive private collection of materials on international law and related subjects. His donation of this private collection serves as the core of the Sohn Library, and the Alexander Campbell King Law Library continues to add to this special collection with a focus on Professor Sohn’s interests in international law, human rights and law of the sea.
