Constitution Day – Sept 17th

Constitution Day is on September 17th!  In connection with Constitution Day, Professor Jack Rakove, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and world-renowned expert on the American founding and U.S. Constitution, will deliver a lecture entitled “What Did the Constitution Originally Mean? Two Interpretations.”  This will take place at 2:00 PM at the Chapel on September 17th.

The law library has created photoa display of Mr. Rakove’s books available at the library. Also, check out some of our other resources on the drafting and ratification of the Constitution:  The Documentary History of the Ratification of the Constitution Digital Edition; The debates in the Federal Convention of 1787; and HeinOnline has numerous resources on the creation of our constitution.
