The legislature’s in session! Want to find your legislators, see how they’re voting, browse bills or track committee activity and events? Try Open States, a legislative resource created and maintained by the nonpartisan, nonprofit, Sunlight Foundation.

Find your legislator: Search by their name, with your address, or by district via the handy map feature. Search members alphabetically, by chamber, by party, or by district. Each member’s page contains a wealth of information: addresses, committee membership, campaign contributions, news and blog coverage, sponsored bills and recent votes.

Track legislation: Recently passed and recently introduced bills are listed by chamber or you can search by bill number. View the latest text of each bill and see a history of actions on it. RSS feeds are available to get the latest.

Track committees: Once you select your state, you can scroll down to Committees to see a list by chamber, search alphabetically by committee, or by member.

Track your legislature on the go with the free Open States app for your iPhone or iPad.

Want to know more? You view a three-minute video on the site’s home page.

Data on the Open States site is automatically collected nightly from the official website of the Georgia General Assembly.
