Westlaw Password Reset

If you’ve logged into TWEN recently, you may have seen a notification about changing your Westlaw password. This indeed is a thing that is happening, and something you will have to take care of if you want to keep uninterrupted access to Westlaw. If you haven’t changed your Westlaw password since October 7, 2014, you need to change it. If you don’t, expect to find your password (and access) disabled in a couple weeks.

I’ve found the easiest way to change is to log into Westlaw and hit the ‘Update’ link in the upper-left part of the screen. From the pop-up, click on the ‘Manage OnePass Profile’ and pick a new password. Fortunately you don’t need to change your username. After changing the password, you should log out and log back in on a fresh browser to make sure the change took place.

You can also use the ‘Forgot my username or password’ link, but it will make you deal with your username, email address, and security question, which is a bit more of a hassle if you ask me.
