Happy Birthday Digital Public Library!

The Digital Public Library of America is celebrating its 1st birthday.  This online resource brings “millions of items from America’s libraries, archives, and museums, and makes them freely available to the world.”  The Digital Library of Georgia, based here at UGA, is a Service Hub for the DPLA, collaborating with Georgia’s Libraries, archives, museums, and other institutions of education and culture to provide access to digitized books, manuscripts, photographs, government documents, newspapers, maps, audio, video, and other resources about the history and culture of the state.
