Records of Rights – New National Archives Exhibition

segregated water fountains - photo courtesy National ArchivesThe National Archives has recently announced a new permanent museum exhibition, Records of Rights, showcasing documents from their holdings that illustrate “the ongoing struggle of Americans to define, attain, and protect their rights.” If you can’t make it Washington, D.C., you can still view these historic and iconic materials online through the exhibition’s interactive website, tabbed for convenience into six different subject areas: Equal Rights, Rights to Freedom and Justice, Rights to Privacy and Sexuality, Workplace Rights, First Amendment Rights, Native American Rights.
