Sibley Lecture with Prof. Robin L. West

Robin L. WestThis Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 3:30 p.m. in the Hatton Lovejoy Courtroom, Robin L. West, Frederick Haas Professor of Law and Philosophy at Georgetown University, will deliver the talk “Toward a Jurisprudence of the Civil Rights Acts” as the 110th Sibley Lecture.

Normative JurisprudenceCheck out Prof. Robin West’s most recent book Normative Jurisprudence: An Introduction published in 2011 as part of the Cambridge Introductions to Philosophy and Law series. The book received much acclaim for reinvigorating and refocusing legal scholarship on the study of how to make the law more just.  Her new book Teaching Law: Justice, Politics, and the Demands of Professionalism will be published by Cambridge University Press this coming November.
