GPO Releases Nixon Transcripts and Kennedy Audio Recordings

The Government Printing Office recently made two interesting resources available to the public.  First, it released the transcripts of President Richard Nixon’s Watergate grand jury testimony. This collection includes 26 recently opened files from the National Archives’ Records of the Watergate Special Prosecution Force including transcripts of President Nixon’s grand jury testimony of June 23-24, 1975.  The GPO also released the Audio tape recordings of conversations that took place after the Kennedy assassination.  The audio tape recordings are of conversations between various individuals in Washington, DC, Air Force One pilots, and officials on board the flight from Dallas to Andrews Air Force Base following the assassination of President Kennedy. One conversation is of President Lyndon B. Johnson being connected to Rose Kennedy to offer his condolences.
