ABA 2012 Tech Survey: Lawyers Using Social Media More

This year’s American Bar Association Tech Survey reveals social media use is increasing among lawyers. Out of 823 respondents, 22 percent indicated their firm has a blog, up from 15 percent, last year. Use of “personal, lawyer-related” blogs is increasing as well – 9 percent of respondents say they maintain one – up from 5 percent,  the previous two years. Use of LinkedIn is growing (88 percent), as is use of Facebook (55 percent), and Twitter (13 percent).
