E-books: Suffragette City!

Susan B. Anthony voting Nov. 5, 1872On this day in history, Susan B. Anthony and 14 other women voted in the presidental election held on November 5, 1872. Her arrest and trial are notable events in the long struggle to secure suffrage for women in the U.S. You can find the account of the trial online (as well as in print) using the Law Library catalog, GAVEL.

E-books are now making available older historical materials to researchers everywhere. The Law Library has acquired two databases for the University community that focus on notable historical trials: The Making of Modern Law: Trials 1600-1926 and HeinOnline World Trials Library.
