Top Secret Documents Available in Wilson Center Digital Archive

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (Wilson Center) just launched a new online archive containing formerly top secret material from numerous countries. The DiImagegital Archive includes declassified material from three Wilson Center projects which focus on the interrelated histories of the Cold War, Korea, and Nuclear Proliferation. Examples of the content include:

  • a memorandum from the November 1960 meeting between Mao Zedong and Che Guevara;
  • cables, memos and telegrams documenting  Chinese-Soviet relations during the Cold War; and
  • notes from a meeting between a top KGB official and an East German security minister.

The collection will grow as more declassified documents become available.
